5/19/11

Hello everyone! I hope you all are having a wonderful day.

With recycling becoming more important then ever, I thought I'd share a fun project that my daughter and I will be doing this weekend.

About a week ago, my daughter was playing with her 12 pack of play dough, and we discovered that all the colors, but one, had dried out since the last time she played with it. So, I proceeded to throw everything away, dough in the trash, containers in the recycle bin. Then I had a fun and wonderful idea. Why not revitalize those yellow plastic cups by making them into an indoor garden???

I saved the cardboard holder, and washed out each cup. Then, we'll put soil into each cup and decide what seeds we want to buy. I do also plan on using the lids to add a little color to the garden. I'm going to cut the center out, and slide it down on the cup. Also, I protected the cardboard with a glue....any sealant will do.

I will post pics when it's all done. I hope this has given you ideas about what you can turn into a fun, indoor garden!
